Step 4: (Optional): Toggle the desired additional settings for your network (explained below):

Affiliate Network: Additional settings (Optional)

There are several optional settings available within the affiliate network configuration.

Voluum_affiliate_network_Additional_settings

Below is an overview of each option:

Append click ID to offer URLs

With this option active (ticked ), all offers created and grouped with the related affiliate network have Voluum’s click ID automatically passed in the offer’s URL.

Note: With this active, the {clickid} macro is not visible in the offer URL itself.
Instead it will be passed dynamically by Voluum when a visitor (click) is redirected to an offer.

Voluum_append_click_ID_to_offer_URLsThis option is intended to save time when adding offer URLs to offer elements created in Voluum.

This mainly applies to networks supplying offers with a subid parameter already mapped to the end of the offer URL’s query string.

Example offer URL as supplied by Addiliate network:

https://www.addiliate.com/redirect.html?ad=XXXXXXX&add1=

Example offer URL with a click ID passed:

https://www.addiliate.com/redirect.html?ad=XXXXXXX&add1=c384EFV6JHQODRN70575OK6UG5

Note: It’s important that the parameter used to pass the click ID is at the end of the offer URL’s query string when this option is active.

Tips & Tricks: Addiliate have their own dedicated subid parameters and tokens to receive and relay third party data. We therefore recommend that you always check with Addiliate’s documentation which parameters are supported to pass data correctly within offer/postback URL strings.

Accept duplicate Postbacks

By default, Voluum will not accept a duplicate postback request (conversion) if another postback request with the same click ID value was previously registered without a unique transaction ID.

This avoids registering duplicate postback requests as unique conversions and therefore skewing your reporting.

Voluum_accept_duplicate_postbacks

Selecting the Accept Duplicate postbacks option will override this default setting and, as a result, each postback request with an undefined txid value will be recorded as new, even if another postback for the same cid was previously recorded.

Note: We don’t recommend using the Accept duplicate postbacks option unless you are sure the network processes outbound postback requests reliably. This is because some requests are sent twice simultaneously, and this could otherwise result in false positives – especially with clientside postbacks (pixels).

Tips & Tricks: If an offer’s funnel has multiple sequential conversion steps – or “upsells” – you should assign a unique txid (transaction ID) value to each unique postback URL/pixel applied for each step.

Click here to find out more about using txid to track multiple conversion steps per visitor.

Only accept postbacks from whitelisted IPs

With this option active, you can whitelist a selection of IPs for inbound postback requests. To add a list of IPs, enter a single IP per line.

Voluum_Whitelist_IPs

Tips & Tricks: The IPs used for outbound postback requests on the network side can usually be provided by your affiliate account manager.

Any inbound postback requests (conversions) originating from IPs that aren’t whitelisted will be discarded by Voluum.

Step 5: A fter all the options have been set for your affiliate network in Voluum, click on Voluum_Save to add it to your list of active affiliate networks.
